Survivor Justice Center is committed to advocating on behalf of the nearly 1 in 2 women and 1 in 5 men who have experienced some form of sexual assault. A lawyer can be a valuable advocate for survivors of sexual assault. In Survivor Justice Center's Teen/LA program, attorneys help young survivors come up with solutions to the challenges they may face in their everyday lives after an assault.

Attorneys advocate for free legal services for immigrants
Survivor Justice Center is committed to providing high quality and free legal services to immigrants who have suffered significant violence and trauma. On March 21st, Survivor Justice Center stood with other attorneys and community partners to protest the lack of free legal representation for immigrants facing deportation.
Attractive Nuisance places first and raises $7,000 for Survivor Justice Center
Last month, the band Attractive Nuisance rocked out in support of Survivor Justice Center at the fifth annual Law Rocks Los Angeles. Featuring talent from Allen Matkins and Payne & Fears, Attractive Nuisance raised $7,000 to support Survivor Justice Center's work, and tied for first place

An epic battle of the bands fundraiser, Law Rocks stars legal professionals rocking to benefit local nonprofits in cities across the globe. Survivor Justice Center is thrilled to be featured as one of six benefiting charities in this year's Law Rocks Los Angeles concert at the historic Whisky A Go Go in Hollywood! February is National Teen Dating Violence Awareness Month
In the United States, one in three teens will be in an abusive or unhealthy relationship. Teen Dating Violence Awareness Month aims to raise awareness and promote efforts to end abuse in teens and young adults' relationships.
Appeal published after teen client is denied protective order
Beverly is a young mother and a survivor of dating violence. She came to Survivor Justice Center through our Teen/LA program when she was 18 with her infant child. The father of her child had inflicted physical and mental abuse on her during their relationship and continued to threaten her after they broke up. Beverly feared for her and her child's safety because of the batterer's controlling behavior, so she sought a permanent restraining order.
