Like many of you, I woke up this morning with a heavy heart. As I think about our immigrant survivor community, our dedicated staff, and the road ahead, I am sitting with the weight of what this year’s election means.

The threats ahead are severe – from widespread deportations to the erosion of fundamental protections and support systems that our clients depend on for their safety and survival. Our commitment as advocates for justice and human rights has never been stronger.

Every survivor deserves safety, freedom, and access to legal representation, regardless of their immigration status or economic circumstances. This is who we are at our core, and our work matters now more than ever.

Your partnership makes our mission possible – from providing free legal representation to immigrant survivors to advocating for systemic change. Even in our hardest moments, we find strength in collective action and we need your help.

Earlier this year, we experienced devastating funding losses as a result of state budget cuts and federal policies – most of which impacted our immigration services. 70% of the survivors we serve are immigrants, and the majority are undocumented.

No matter the obstacles, we remain steadfast in our fight for justice. Thank you for being a part of our community making a difference for survivors. The path ahead is long, but we gain strength as more voices join our call for justice.

In solidarity,

McDonald, Esq.
