Survivor Justice Center helps survivors understand their rights when their abuser is prosecuted in a criminal case, so they are empowered to make the best decision for themselves and their families.
In cases where the abusive person is prosecuted in a criminal case, survivors have the right to keep their medical, counseling and education records private and to certain information and documents pertaining to the criminal case.

Survivor Justice Center lawyers give survivors a safe and private space to learn about their rights, explore their choices, and make strong, informed decisions for themselves and their families.
Our attorneys also work closely with each person to look at their full legal situation and find any problems related to domestic violence or sexual assault. Based on what the survivor wants and needs, we can offer legal help directly or connect them with one of our trusted partners who can support them best.
