This Domestic Violence Awareness Month showed the incredible power of our community. Thanks to the generosity of our supporters, together we raised over $65,000 for survivor advocacy and legal representation.

This support helps sustain survivors throughout their journey to safety—a path that doesn’t end when they leave. Since October, we’ve already opened cases for 13 new clients.

The month also brought meaningful opportunities to connect and educate. At our first Purple Thursday Celebration, our community of partners, supporters and staff came together decked out in purple to show support for survivors. We even received our first recognition under our new agency name from the Office of Congressman Jimmy Gomez!

At the Annual DVAM Breakfast, the County of Los Angeles Domestic Violence Council recognized our work in the community alongside fellow advocates. We expanded our reach through educational webinars with the LA County Bar Association and LA Law Library, sharing vital information with attorneys and advocates working to support survivors. We also led a training with the Director of Family Violence Legislation at the City Attorney’s Office, further advancing our collaborative efforts to support survivor advocacy.
